I am the Co-Founder, President & CEO of Bottom Billion Fund, a new nonprofit microfinance investment fund dedicated to bringing financial tools and training to the world’s poorest individuals, the Bottom Billion: the 1.4 billion people on the planet –or one in every five– living on less than $1.25 a day in extreme poverty.
I worked at the Chicago Board of Trade for sixteen years, serving as Vice President of Product and Research Development. I left the Board of Trade to work as an independent consultant to the microfinance industry for the past 15 years. In this role, I was dedicated to bringing the best of traditional and micro finance to the world’s poorest people.
I received my MBA with a specialization in Economics and Finance from the University of Chicago, where I also completed Ph.D. coursework in Economics.
